Bjorn L Bjorholm, owner of Eisei-en, is a bonsai artist and instructor who spent six years as an apprentice under Master Keiichi Fujikawa at Kouka-en bonsai nursery in Osaka, Japan before receiving certification as a bonsai professional by the Nippon Bonsai Association.
His tenure as an apprentice at Kouka-en was followed by three years as artist-in-residence at the same location, making him the first foreign-born working bonsai professional in Japan.
During his time in Japan, Bjorn's works were featured in the Kokufu-ten, Sakufu-ten, and Taikan-ten exhibitions, among many others.
Harry started working professionally as a Bonsai artist and writer in 2000 after a back injury. His website starting life as a collection of private notes about Bonsai that were published as 'Species Guides' in 2001; the first comprehensive study of plant species suitable for Bonsai available online.
Since that time bonsai4me has grown on an annual basis and now attracts over 1.5 million different visitors each year from around the world.
Marc Noelanders was born in in 1960. He was influenced by eastern mysticism that would drive him at an early age of 13 years to Karate.
He trained for several years up to international level when his Master would want him to learn Bonsai to balance the ying and yang of his personality.
Marc would never look back. He stayed for a long time in Japan, initially only watering, fertilizing and pruning trees in a standard program until he would be allowed to work on trees.
He would work under Japanese masters like Masahiko Kimura.
Mauro Stemberger was born 1978 in Feltre, Italy, and works as an Architect and Bonsai artist. At the age of 14 he was fascinated about Bonsai Art and started his passion with the local Bonsai club Feltre. From1994 - 2001, he had the chance to join workshops with important European bonsai masters like, Hotsumi Terakawa , Marc Noelander, Horst Crekler , Edoardo Rossi and many more.
Steve set up Four Dimensional Art and established the Steve Tolley Bonsai Academy with the aim of helping to raise the standards of UK and ultimately European bonsai.
Many of his trees and trees created for clients are winning awards and receiving international recognition.
